Website: http://www.grosvenor.com Interest: Farm Management From 1998 Mark has been Managing Director of Grosvenor Farms Ltd, Cheshire, a large-scale mixed farming business, part of the Duke of Westminster’s Eaton Estate covering 11,000 acres. The main operations are 2650 dairy cows, 1800 dairy heifers, 3700 acres combinable crops, 1000 acres forage maize, 500 acres grassland and 500 acres stewardship. About 12% of the land is managed under environmental schemes providing enhanced biodiversity and wildlife habitats. Mark was Executive Director of Cogent Breeding Ltd from 1998-2004 and MD from 2016 to 2019 and is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Cogent. He is a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Society of England; a member of the Dairy Science Forum; a trustee of The Dairy Futures Charity; a partner in a large US dairy farming business; a former Governor of Harper Adams University; a past Trustee of the RABDF and a former chairman of the 1000 Cow Club. He is a non-executive director of Tatra Forest Slovakia, a 5000 acre organic farm producing milk, cheese, herbs and berries. |
